TELAWIW OnLine: Przypadające w grudniu 30-lecie rozpadu ZSRR jest okazją, żeby przypomnieć, iż takiego rozwoju wydarzeń nie przewidywali wówczas najbardziej nawet renomowani sowietolodzy na Zachodzie. W samym Sojuzie wstrząs musiał być tak potężny, że Putin i jego ludzie do dziś lamentują nad tym upadkiem, jako „najgorszym wydarzeniem XX wieku”.

Rzecz jasna, najgorszym lub jednym z najgorszych wydarzeń minionego wieku było pojawienie się, a nie upadek tego „imperium zła”, jak nazywał je Ronald Reagan. Niezłym przykładem jest Bliski Wschód. Moskwa najpierw pomogła w odrodzeniu Izraela, spodziewając się, że będzie krajem komunistycznym, promieniującym na arabski Orient, pomocnym w wygnaniu Anglików i przejęciu kontroli nad źródłami energii. Okazało się, że jest inaczej, więc ZSRR dwukrotnie w latach 60. i 70. uzbroił i wyszkolił armie egipską i syryjską, żeby zniszczyć Izrael. Jednocześnie na tzw. froncie ideologicznym KGB wymyśliła marionetkowego Arafata z Palestyńczykami, jako osobny naród arabski, żeby podważyć rację istnienia Państwa Żydowskiego. Wszystkie te numery z czasem wzięły w łeb, Palestyńczyków utulono głównie na zwichrowanym Zachodzie, zaś Putin, inaczej niż dawne bonzy na Kremlu, woli współpracować z Izraelem np. na arenie syryjskiej, żeby pozbyć się stamtąd Irańczyków.

TELAWIW OnLine: The 30th anniversary of the collapse of the USSR, which fell in December, is an occasion to recall that such a development was not foreseen at that time by the most renowned sovietologists in the West. Within USSR itself, the shock must have been so powerful that Putin and his people lament the collapse to this day as “the worst event of the twentieth century.”

Of course, the worst or one of the worst events of the last century was the emergence, not the collapse of this “evil empire,” as Ronald Reagan called it. The Middle East is a good example. Moscow first helped revive Israel, expecting to be a communist country, radiating to the Arab Orient, helping to expel the English and take control of its energy sources. It turned out otherwise, so the USSR armed and trained the Egyptian and Syrian armies twice in the 1960s and 1970s to destroy Israel. At the same time, the so-called on the ideological front, the KGB invented the puppet Arafat with the Palestinians as a separate Arab nation to undermine the rationale of the Jewish State. With time, all these numbers took a toll, the Palestinians were cuddled mainly in the twisted West, and Putin, unlike the old Kremlin leaders, prefers to cooperate with Israel, for example in the Syrian arena, to get rid of Iranians from there.
